A Marietta man faces charges of pedestrian under the influence, pedestrian darting out into traffic and failure to obey a traffic control device after police say he was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Delk Road.

Darin McDuffie, 44, was crossing Delk Road at the Franklin Road intersection when he was struck by a red 2003 Honda Pilot driven by 67-year-old William Gailey, of Marietta.

McDuffie was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital by ambulance and is listed as being in critical but stable condition. He remains in the intensive care unit.

The crash is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Stephen Miller at (770) 794-5356.
