Wreaths Across America
The Marietta National Cemetery will host Wreaths Across America, a holiday wreath-laying ceremony to honor and remember the nation’s veterans. The Civil Air Patrol, Veterans service organizations and citizens coordinating the event will honor veterans of each branch of the military, the Merchant Marines as well as Prisoners of War and those still Missing in Action (POW/MIA).

13th Annual Sleighbells on the Square 5K
The Cobb County Bar Association will sponsor the 13th Annual Sleighbells on the Square 5K Run/Walk on the Marietta Square. Jingles on shoes are encouraged. All proceeds benefit the Cobb County Bar Children’s Emergency Fund, which assists the Cobb County School District’s and Marietta City Schools’ students and their families with emergency financial needs. Donations are tax deductible.

Christmas at Piedmont Church Arts & Craft Show
Christmas at Piedmont Church Arts & Craft Show will feature jewelry, pottery, paintings, ornaments, apparel, unique one of a kind gift items, festival food, local entertainment, free children’s activities, roasting marshmallows and smores. There will be free rides on Dec. 13 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the 50-foot Snow Tube ride, which uses more than 8,000 pounds of ice and snow; and a free Petting Zoo, with more than 20 animals on the lawn of the church, on Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will also be free photos with Santa from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Dec. 13 and noon to 3 p.m. on Dec. 14. The entertainment lineup for Dec. 13 will be Blackwell Elementary at 6 p.m., Addison Elementary at 6:30 p.m., Daniell Middle School Chorus at 7 p.m., Bells Ferry Elementary at 7:30 p.m. and Great Gig Dance from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.; and for Dec. 14 will be Chalker Elementary School Chorus at 11 a.m., Big Sound Piedmont Church at 11:30 a.m., Pitner Elementary at noon, Nicholson Elementary at 1:30 p.m., Mabry Middle School at 2 p.m., Grasshoppers at 2:30 p.m., Kennesaw Elementary at 3 p.m., Big Shanty Elementary at 3:30 p.m., Baker Elementary at 4 p.m., Davis Elementary at 4:30 p.m., and Kincaid Elementary at 5 p.m.

A Christmas Tradition
The Earl Smith Strand Theater will have A Christmas Tradition, a song and dance revue with songs that include Christmas/holiday classics and funky favorites. A pre-show holiday sing along with Ron Carter on the Mighty Allen Theatre Organ will begin half an hour before showtimes.

Sanders Family Christmas
Atlanta Lyric Theatre will have Sanders Family Christmas, starring the beloved original Theatre in the Square cast. World War II provides the background to the story of a family living in the rural town of Mount Pleasant in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. They are about to say goodbye to their only son, who is shipping out with the Marine Corps. Before he goes, the Sanders Family Singers were heading up the annual Christmas celebration at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.
WHEN: Dec. 13-14, 8 p.m.; Dec. 15, 2 p.m.; Dec. 20-21, 8 p.m.; and Dec. 22, 2 p.m.
