Mr. Jonathan Russell (Rusty) Cook, age 45, of Acworth, passed away December 3, 2013. Rusty was born April 26, 1968 in Lawrenceburg, IN. He was a graduate of Lassiter High School in Marietta and received his X-Ray Tech Degree from Gwinnett Tech. He worked as a X-Ray Tech at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN and at DeKalb Medical Center in Decatur, GA. Rusty had enrolled in the IBEW Electrical Apprentice Program and had completed four years of the program. He had worked as a repair technician for Troy Built, manufactures of lawn and garden equipment, as a security guard for Anheiser-Bush in Cartersville and also with the Salvation Army during the Christmas Season. Above all Rusty had a very giving spirit to all who ask for help. He is preceded in death by his mother, Natalie Jeanne Trueblood Cook. Survived by his father, Augustus D. Cook; brothers, Timothy Cook MD, (Kathy), Michael Cook (DeLena), Augustus Cook (Kristy, James Cook (Deanna). Nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive. The Cook family will receive friends between the hours of 6 until 8 PM Thursday Dec. 5 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. A memorial service will be held Friday Dec. 6 at 11 AM at Mars Hill Presbyterian Church, 3385 Mars Hill Road, Acworth, GA 30101. Rusty will be taken to Fitch-Denny Funeral Home, 455 Ridge Avenue, Lawrenceburg, IN where interment will be held Saturday Dec. 7 at 2 PM in Greendale Cemetery.
