J. Doyle Burnley, age 81, of Hiram, passed away November 26, 2013. Owner of Burnley’s Transmission Service in Marietta, he retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. Preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Edna Lord Burnley, survivors include sons, Jimmy (Angela) Burnley of Williamsburg, VA, David (Cynthia) Burnley of Marietta, and Mark Burnley of Rockmark; sisters, Gail Thompson of Smyrna, Claudia Garrison of Detroit, MI, and Margaret Beck of Rome; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM Saturday at White Columns Chapel in Mableton with Funeral Services 1:30 PM Sunday with Minister Clayton Mixon officiating.
