MARIETTA — A teenager was arrested last week after police say he defaced the vehicle at the home of a couple who live on Sandy Plains Road, northeast of Marietta.

On the afternoon of Nov. 6, police say Gabe Posey, 17, of Marietta, damaged a 2008 Nissan Versa, causing less than $500 worth of damage.

The warrant stated Posey deflated three tires, dented the driver’s side door, and drew an obscene image on the windshield, windows and license plate.

It also stated Posey was angry he was turned down for a romantic relationship by a member of the family, “so he trashed her car in front of witnesses and photographed and shared the damage he caused.”

Posey might have taken one of the hub caps as a memento, the warrant stated.

Posey was arrested a week after the incident, charged with two misdemeanor counts of criminal trespass and theft, and released on a $1,500 bail.
