H. Gary Stinchcomb
H. Gary Stinchcomb
H. Gary Stinchcomb of Fairburn passed away November 18, 2013 after a lengthy illness which he faced with extreme courage. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Harold B. Stinchcomb and is survived by his wife, Estelle McElwee Stinchcomb; sons, Matt Stinchcomb and his wife Jenny of Duluth; Jon Stinchcomb and his wife Ali of Grayson; mother, Janie Milam Stinchcomb of Alpharetta; sister, Carol Stinchcomb Tyler and her husband, Tom of Alpharetta; grandchildren, Janie, Addie, Whitt, Mason and Emily Gray. Gary worked for MARTA for 30 years. His family was his top priority and he was a great husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved nothing better than to share hunting, fishing and beach adventures with those he loved.  He was an avid sports fan, especially following his sons and their teams. Entertaining others with his favorite stories was a great past time and they were always accompanied by his contagious laughter. Gary was a man of great generosity and kindness. He extended these with his family, at his workplace, in his church and his community. Special thanks to his caregivers Lotoya Soda and Monique Williams. A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 2 o’clock in the chapel Of Parrot Funeral Home with Rev. Lawrence E. Wilson and Rev. Carla Carrabino officiating. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Antioch Methodist Church, 7650 Rivertown Road, Fairburn, Ga 30213. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00-until 7:00 pm at Parrott Funeral Home, 8355 Senoia Road, Highway 74 Fairburn, Ga. 30213.
