William “Mac” McGary, 74, of Powder Springs died on Sunday, November 10, 2013. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 14th in the Chapel of Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Powder Springs.  Burial will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. Mr. McGary graduated from Marshall College and then left to serve in the United States Navy.  After returning home he started his career in the Airline Industry.  He first went to work for National Airlines in 1962. He joined Pan American World Airways and finally retired with Delta Airlines.  His love for flying took him back to getting his pilots license during his retirement.  He was a loving Husband, Father and “Papa” to his family and he will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Ana McGary of Powder Springs, his sons, Scott McGary and his wife Laurie of Loxahatchee, FL; Joey McGary and his wife Barbara of Vinings, GA, his daughter, Christy Lenis of Powder Springs, his sisters, Karen Murphy of Florence, Alabama; Barbara Morris and her husband Gordon of Mechanicsville, Virginia, his mother in law, Mami of Powder Springs, his beloved grandchildren, Samantha, Michael, Haley and his little Evan and by many loved nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
