I’ve always wondered why there are always so many people running to become one of many leaders in the city of Kennesaw, while in Acworth hardly anyone runs for public office. My wife always told me: “If you want to find out why anything is happening in politics, just follow the money.”
Then on Sunday, I read the front page article in the MDJ, in which the Kennesaw mayor stated there is no formal policy for use of city credit cards by himself and the council.
Well, now I understand. Anyone who manages to get elected is given an unlimited credit card, backed by the taxpayers. The well-worn political adage is still in play: “Ya gotta trust me.”
Lordy! Lordy!!! If you can buy that, I’ve got a bridge in Brooklyn I’d like to talk to you about.
