AUSTELL — Three men were killed in a car crash Sunday morning along Clay Road in Austell after their car spun off the road and hit a tree.

Michael A. Haynes, 20, of Austell, Jacoby D. Lowe, 24, of Marietta, and Jerod A. Lowe, 21, of Marietta, were all killed in the accident, according to Mike Bowman, of the Cobb County Police.

Haynes was driving a silver 2008 Nissan Altima, westbound on Clay Road, just west of Flint Hill Road, well above the speed limit Sunday morning at about 12:30 a.m., when he attempted to turn into a right curve in the road and lost control of the vehicle, Bowman said.

The car spun off of the road and hit a tree, killing the driver and two passengers, who were pronounced dead at the scene, Bowman said.

There is no evidence that alcohol was involved in the crash, said Bowman, although the Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct drug and alcohol tests.

Further information on the men was not available Sunday afternoon, and anyone with information about the accident is asked to call Cobb Police at (770) 499-3987.
