Christopher D. Fagan
Fagan will work primarily with the firm’s private equity and manufacturing and distribution clients focusing on assurance and transaction services. He will also serve as an adviser to clients in many other areas including debt financing diligence and advisory projects focused on inventory valuation and controls, and consulting services.
He joins the firm with more than six years of experience working with clients ranging in size from start-ups and middle-market to large private and public companies, and three years of experience working in accounting departments for a publicly financed entity and a university medical center.
Previously, he worked as a Senior Audit Manager with Warren Averett LLC where he managed complex audit engagements, private company financial reporting and special projects involving inventory valuation. Prior to joining Warren Averett, he worked as an Assurance and Financial Advisory Manager with Crowe Horwath LLP in New York City where he focused on an audit client base of private equity portfolio holdings and supporting buyers and sellers in the firm’s Transaction Services Group.
He received a Master of Accountancy from Belmont University’s Jack C. Massey Graduate School of Business in Nashville, Tenn., and is also a graduate of the University of Tennessee — Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant certified in the states of Tennessee and New York and is also a member of the Tennessee Society of CPA’s as well as the AICPA.
Wall brings more than 20 years of accounting experience to the firm. In this role, she will be responsible for managing the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, general ledger analysis and management reports (balance sheet, income statement, cash flows and other analytical reports) and implementing QuickBooks accounting software for firm clients.
Prior to joining Moore Colson, she worked as Director of Finance for Workplace Spanish Inc. in Roswell and Director of Finance at W.E.B. Du Bois Society Inc. (a nonprofit organization). In both part-time roles, she performed monthly close activities and maintained QuickBooks Ledger, prepared and analyzed monthly financial statements, processed payables and receivables, reconciled bank accounts, prepared and managed the annual budget, coordinated the annual audit and tax filing, and implemented QuickBooks accounting software.
Wall also worked as Process Improvement/Financial Systems Manager with SchlumbergerSema, formerly LHS Communications Systems Inc., and Accounting Manager for National Data Corporation, both in Atlanta.
A graduate of Emory University’s Goizueta Business School in Atlanta, she holds a BBA with a concentration in Accounting. She also participates in a number of volunteer efforts including — Holcomb Bridge Middle School PTA, River Eves Education Foundation Inc., River Eves Elementary School PTA, Roswell Friends — Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and The Junior League of Atlanta.
Miller, a new Moore Colson Business Assurance Associate, recently graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accountancy. While attending Auburn, he worked as a Student Auditor Assistant in Auburn’s Department of Internal Auditing in Auburn, where he maintained a 20-hour-per-week work schedule as a full-time student, proofread and edited the Executive Director’s quarterly and annual reports to the Board of Trustees, assisted auditors by performing basic audit test work, and reviewed auditors’ recommendation reports to ensure accuracy before release to administration.
Hopkins interned with Moore Colson in the spring of 2012 and has recently received a Masters of Business Administration degree at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw. She is also a graduate of The University of Georgia, Terry College of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting, and attended the University of Mississippi School of Business Administration, Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College for two years.
Prior to joining the firm as an intern in 2012, she was a Sales Leader with Private Gallery in Athens and also worked as an intern with the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia and the Georgia Society of Association Executives in Atlanta. She was nominated for Regional Employee of the Year for Private Gallery.
Scott is currently enrolled at the University of West Georgia in Carrolton where she is pursuing a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. She worked for Stokes Wagner LLC in Atlanta from May 2009 to May 2013 as a Law Clerk where she developed and organized material for public speaking conventions by providing support for successful business events, assisted in hospitality industry cases by preparing and retrieving investigative research, briefs for employment litigation, and by organizing case files for successful litigation by the firm.
She also served as a tax intern with Pettigrew & Pettigrew CPAs in Milledgeville from January-April 2012.
