KENNESAW — A teen was arrested by the Kennesaw Police Department at Kennesaw Mountain High School for allegedly carrying a Victorinox folding knife with a 2.5 inch blade, similar to a Swiss army knife.

On Sept. 27, Taylor Jeremy Smith of Kennesaw, who has previously been charged with bringing marijuana to school, was charged with a felony for allegedly carrying a weapon in a school zone, according to the warrant.

The warrant stated that students of the school reported to Assistant Principal Darlene Mitchell that Smith “had ingested marijuana brownies and washed them down with an alcoholic beverage while at school.”

A Cobb County School District police officer checked Smith for signs of intoxication, according to the warrant, and found none.

The knife, attached to Smith’s wallet with a “biker” type of chain, was found when the officer checked his book bag, stated the warrant.

So this was a pen knife right? This is an overreaction.
