KENNESAW —The Kennesaw Police Department warned residents Friday afternoon about a phone scam that reportedly has a caller soliciting funds for the Kennesaw/Acworth 911 center.

Officer Scott Luther with Kennesaw Police Department said one call was reported by the receptionist with Eaton Chiropratic in downtown Kennesaw.

The caller ID showed the call came from Iowa, Luther said.

The 911 center does not solicit donations, so Luther said anyone contacted by this individual or others should hang up the phone.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Kennesaw Police Department on the nonemergency number, (770) 422-2505.
