Patrick Devon McDonald of Lilburn and Jermale Maurice Whalum of Marietta were both arrested Sept. 29 on charges of aggravated assault with a weapon and intent to distribute marijuana.

According to the warrant, they are accused of assaulting someone with brass knuckles at a home in the 1000 block of Franklin Road shortly before their arrests and were also reportedly in possession of 11 grams of marijuana.

“(Both men) did strike the victim in the head and face repeatedly with the intent of causing serious bodily harm and/or death,” the warrant states.

McDonald and Whalum remain in the Cobb jail without a bond because they are reportedly on probation, jail records indicate.
