Justin J. Fowler, 35, of Kennesaw was arrested Sept. 8 and charged with aggravated assault, two counts of possession of a firearm, and false imprisonment. He also is charged with the misdemeanor battery, two counts of third-degree cruelty to children, and obstruction of a 911 call. According to the warrant, Fowler assaulted a woman with a “12-gauge Maverick Shotgun” during a domestic dispute at Fowler’s home. Fowler called the woman obscene names and said “You deserve to die.” Fowler would not let the woman leave and struck the left side of the her face causing swelling under her left eye.

Authorities say this altercation took place in front of two children. One child tried to call 911, but Fowler took the phone away from her.

Fowler was released the same day he was arrested after posting a $15,000 bond.
