Mr. Ernest William Chegwidden, age 90, of Kennesaw GA passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2013 with his family in attendance. Ernest is an Air Force veteran and served in World War II as a member of the 390th flight crew who flew B-17’s out of England. Ernest worked for many years as a District Representative for American Hoist, and was relocated along with his family from Cleveland Heights, Ohio to Kennesaw, GA in 1965. Ernest was a founding member of the First United Lutheran Church in Kennesaw in the early 1970’s. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Lou Chegwidden, his son Bill Chegwidden and wife Kay, daughter Janet Lawrence, son Alan Chegwidden, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A family Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at Georgia National Cemetery on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Lutheran Church, 3481 Campus Loop Road, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
