David Mazurek has not been seen since Sept. 5 when he was spotted walking near the intersection of Highway 92 and Bells Ferry Road, said Lt. Jay Baker, spokesman for the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.
Baker said Mazurek “possibly suffers from a diminished mental capacity” and was last seen wearing gray pants with a black and gold shirt and a white jacket with red and blue markings. He also wore leather deck shoes and a coral necklace, Baker said.
Baker said Mazurek may be with friends in Powder Springs, but he has not returned to his apartment since he disappeared.
“We have been in communication with his roommate and he has not shown up there, but hopefully someone will recognize him. Since he disappeared in Cherokee County, that is why the local law enforcement is handling it,” Baker said.
Anyone who has seen Mazurek or knows his whereabouts is urged to notify the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office at (678) 493-4080.
