KENNESAW — At about 9 a.m. Saturday a crash southbound on Interstate 75, just south of Hickory Grove Road overpass in Kennesaw, killed one Georgia woman and seriously injured her husband.

Sergeant Dana Pierce with the Cobb County Police Department said James McNeece, 50, of Ringgold, was driving a white 2003 Chevrolet Silverado truck. He was towing a utility trailer loaded with farm equipment.

Diana M. Stepp, 47, of Satellite Beach, Fla., was driving next to him in a silver 2002 Ford Explorer when police say she failed to maintain her lane. She sideswiped the Chevrolet truck causing it to veer off the eastern edge of the roadway where it overturned in the center median, according to Pierce.

McNeece was transported by air to Grady Hospital in critical condition. His wife and front seat passenger, Reba McNeece, 45, died at the scene.

Stepp was arrested at the scene and charged with second degree vehicular homicide and failure to maintain a lane.

What was Diana M. Stepp of Satellite Beach FL, doing to cause her to swerve into the other lane?

TEXTING, TALKING ON CELL PHONE??? Normal drivers don't take careless chances driving on the interstate at high rate of speed. Unless they are making stupid choices TEXTING or USING CELL PHONE. Now THIS INNOCENT WOMAN IS DEAD AND HER HUSBAND LAYS CRITICAL AND THEY DID NOTHING WRONG !! DIANA STEPP IS GUILTY AND THE POLICE SHOULD BE ABLE TO FIND OUT WHY.
