Cobb County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying someone wanted for armed robbery and aggravated assault at an area Wal-Mart.

According to investigators, a man stole merchandise from the WalMart at 2795 Chastain Meadows at about 2 p.m. Thursday, and while leaving pulled a knife on a store officer before fleeing the scene in what was described as a light blue 1994 Ford Crown Victoria with a Georgia license plate.

A little more than three hours later, the same unidentified man is reported to have stolen merchandise from the Sears store in the Town Center mall at 400 Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw. Authorities say while leaving the store the man pulled a knife on another store officer.

He drove away from the scene in a similar car.

The man is described as white, about 6-feet tall and weighing about 250 to 300 pounds. He has graying hair and a mustache and is believed to be in his 50s.

This man should be considered armed and anyone with information about him is asked to call 911.
