Warren was injured in a Thursday car accident on Interstate 75.
“The surgery has gone well, he’s in good spirits, and he may be coming home either tomorrow or Thursday,” said Nancy Bodiford.
Chief Deputy Milton Beck, who was driving with Warren in the passenger seat when the accident occurred and was not seriously injured, has returned to the office.
“He’s still having issues with his shoulder. He’s been in and out of the office,” Bodiford said.
Jeffrey Collins of Loganville lost control of his Ford pickup truck pulling a trailer as he merged onto I-75 south of the Northside Drive exit, striking the vehicle driven by Beck.
The truck crossed the road coming from the right lane and hit the back end of the Sheriff’s car causing it to flip over on the interstate.
Collins was charged with failure to maintain lane.
Collins and his passenger, Timothy Johnson from Lithonia, were not seriously injured.
