A Marietta man was jailed on a $10,000 bond after being charged with aggravated assault/intent to murder after he tried to run over a man at a residence on South Cobb Drive in Smyrna, according to officials.

Jose Manuel Moctezuma saw Ryan Moore getting out of the passenger side of Moctezuma’s wife’s car and then intentionally struck Moore with the white 1999 Ford Winstar minivan he was driving, according to the warrant.

The incident reportedly occurred at 3:13 p.m. Aug. 9.

Moore told police he feared for his life and thought Moctezuma was trying to kill him because he was helping Moctezuma’s wife move, the warrant states. Moore managed to avoid serious injury.

Cobb County police are investigating the felony case.
