Chuck and Mary were two of the most amazing people I've ever known and consider them my own Grandparents. Mary was feisty, funny, and a straight shooter. Grandpa Chuck, though quieter and always watching baseball on TV, was a sweet, kind man. Both always made me feel like one of their grandchildren and I will miss them for the rest of my days. Although my husband, Danny, and I have shed many tears over their deaths, we also know they lived beautifully long lives and didn't suffer in the end. They wanted to leave this world together and they did, and what a gift they were. The entire family misses them so much but we all also know they aren't suffering and for the religious in the family, they firmly know they are with their maker together and in love for all time. We wish everyone could have known them and all of the wonderful things they experienced and did in their lives. We are so grateful to have known and loved them. Mary is now free to design her beautiful dresses to the celebrities now with her and Chuck is playing baseball. They were beautiful people and were cared for to the end by my Mom, Janet, her Son Nick, Chris, Mark, Mary and so many others. A big thank you to the nurses and hospice caregivers- you are the angels too.
