David E. Geros, Sr., 68, of Cartersville died Wednesday, August 7, 2013. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Woodstock with Dr. Johnny Hunt officiating. Interment will be 11:30 a.m. Monday in Georgia National Cemetery in Canton with Dr. Bradley Brown officiating. Mr. Geros was born in Jacksonville, Fl and lived in Cobb and Bartow Counties for the past 45 years. He has been married to his wife for 48 years. Mr. Geros was a member and Deacon of First Baptist Church of Woodstock. He served in the US Air Force. Mr. Geros sold insurance for The Life of Georgia and later was self employed in manufacturing. Survivors include his wife, Maria Brown Geros of Cartersville; two daughters, Erika Geros Riddle and her husband, Andy, of Cartersville, Heather Geros Nicklas and her husband, Jim, of Cartersville; son, Dave E. Geros, Jr. and his wife, Jordan, of Cartersville; mother, Mildred Geros of Rome; eight grandchildren. Contributions may be made in memory of David to First Baptist Church of Woodstock Armed Forces Ministries, 11905 Hwy 92, Woodstock, GA 30188. Family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
