Parents or guardians of students entering kindergarten in the Cobb County School District may ride along with their child’s bus trial run Tuesday, Aug. 6.

The district offers this opportunity to help families introduce Cobb’s youngest students to the school bus and make the first day, Aug. 7, run more smoothly.

Use the online bus route query system at cobbk12.org and plan to arrive at the child’s bus stop five minutes before the schedule pickup time.

Buses will travel complete routes to and from each school, returning students and parents back to their original bus stops.

Due to limited available space, only kindergarten students and their parent or guardian may participate in the ride along.

For more information, call (678) 594-8000 or send an email to the transportation supervisor serving the child’s school.
