Who is more racist? Obama or Zimmerman?

DEAR EDITOR:

Some of us must wonder if our non-leader, B. Obama, has been taking speaking lessons from Joe Biden. B.O. says that 35 years ago he could have been Trayvon Martin.

It is curious indeed that he identifies with a trouble-making teen charged for possessing marijuana with intent to distribute, along with several other culpabilities not allowed to be aired in court. The most important were covered up by his school principal and the local police chief.

So, OK, he was unarmed. Yes, well. Why was he hiding his identity under a hoodie, walking where he had no business at that time of night? Could it possibly be that his plan was to “hook up” with one or more of his felonious “brothers” and munch innocently on his junk food while being their watch dog while they burglarized still one more home in that neighborhood?

George Zimmerman has been castigated for pursuing this “adorable, innocent-looking boy” (not!) on foot. Consider that Mr. Zimmerman, reacting to previous untimely police responses, could no longer follow Martin in his truck and did not want to lose sight of him.

Why might he have been carrying a gun? Perhaps he reasonably believed he could be jumped by not only Martin, but his several buddies.

Considering their posturing and demagoguery, who is clearly more racist: Obama and Eric Holder or George Zimmerman?

Finally, why must the public keep seeing photos of a 13-year-old male instead of pictures of him in jail or at least a picture of him at age 17?

Great letter and true.

Have you already forgotten that Zimmerman got beat up? Or, does that not matter? If someone beat me up (white, senior female) and I had a gun I would shoot too (referred to as DEFENSE).

So if I wanted to kill someone all I have to do is get in a gun and start a fight with my intended victim, then let the victim cause some injuries to me before I shoot. Then I could claim self defense. I don't know that it happened in the Zimmerman case but that's the law.

Re: Update Law.

Sounds easy... but when it came out that you had a beef with the person you killed... things would likely change.

Zimmerman had no motive other than self defense.
