Riedemann, founder of the real estate firm Ashford Capital Partners, was appointed to the Kennesaw City Council July 1, filling the late Councilman Bill Thrash’s seat. He will serve as the liaison to the Kennesaw Development Board.
At Wednesday’s meeting, the board discussed giving the chairman position to board member Steve Creason, who has been a member of the Georgia Army National Guard for more than 20 years.
There will be a round of nominations and elections at the Aug. 21 meeting.
The seven member board will fill Riedemann’s vacant seat with Mike Serkevakis, who was appointed by Councilman Bruce Jenkins, after he is sworn in by the Kennesaw City Council.
Serkevakis said he has been in the real estate development business for years, and was a member of the development board from 1996 to 2007.
