Woman arrested after car accident

A Marietta woman has been arrested after a vehicle accident that caused another driver series injuries to his neck and brain.

The victim remains in the hospital.

Police arrested Patricia Evans on July 8 for reportedly causing the accident at the intersection of Cobb Parkway and Pete Scogin Parkway at about 1:44 p.m. May 13.

Evans is accused of driving her 2001 Toyota Sequoia 72 mph in a 55 mph zone and failing to stop at a traffic light. She is charged with speeding, reckless driving, violating a traffic control device and causing injury by a vehicle.
