A Marietta man faces charges after allegedly molesting and attempting to engage in sexual acts with a 13-year-old Marietta Middle School student.

Josue Gomez, 28, reportedly sent a text message to the student and enticed her to leave school. Then, Gomez picked the child up from Marietta Middle School and attempted to entice the child before the child resisted, according to the arrest warrant. Police said Gomez also took the child from her parents’ home without their consent and planned to run away to Mexico with the child.

Gomez was arrested by the Marietta Police on July 2 and charged with interference with custody, a misdemeanor, enticing a child to engage in sex, sexual battery, and child molestation, all felonies.

13 is the age of consent in Mexico, and the culture continues when they escape across the border.

The employer of this 28 year old who obviously owned a car with money obtained from said employer should be charged.
