Lois Ann Stephens, 80, of Acworth went to be with the Lord at 12:05 p.m. Friday at Golden Living Center in Marietta. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Jim Stephens Sr., sons and daughters-in-law: Frank (and Linda), Jimmy (and Sandi), David (and Melody), and Larry (and Gail), brother Thomas McEwen, 22 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by father Noah Pyles, mother Mildred Spangler Pyles, brother Keith Pyles, sister Dorothy Davis and infant son James. A lifelong Braves fan, she ensured her kids and grandkids never broke the 11th commandment – Thou shalt not root against the Braves. From keeping grandchildren when parents needed a break to never missing a cake for a birthday, her love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will be felt for many generations to come. Funeral service will be at Medford-Peden at 7 p.m. on Monday the 8th, the family will receive friends and relatives from five to seven. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you donate to a local Alzheimer’s association or charity of your choice. Medford-Peden funeral home will be in charge of arrangements.
