Obama just a smooth-talking huckster

DEAR EDITOR:

Benghazigate; the NSA; the IRS; Snowden; Susan Rice; Fast and Furious; voter fraud; a corrupt Justice Department; utter ineptitude rife throughout the entire administration — and the Community Organizer-in-Chief is going to give a speech on “global warming?”

This is but another example of a man who possesses none of the talents or attributes necessary to run a lemonade stand, let alone a country! If Obama were half as competent as he is eloquent, we might find some vestige of ability in his character. Unfortunately for the United States, we have not only elected, but re-elected a glib, smooth-talking huckster who relies mostly on his soaring but meaningless oratory to continue abusing the myriad perks of the presidency.

Take away his ubiquitous teleprompters, and what’ve you got? A likable (to some) dolt!

Mr. Foley is entitled to his opinion. However, I have read perhaps a couple of his opinion pieces, and have concluded that nothing he might write is worthy of comment. That he expresses support for Obama is enough to discredit him.

Mr. Chawick - Epistemic closure. I rest my case.

Mr. Chadwick's comments are a perfect example of one suffering from epistemic closure, the condition of willful ignorance I wrote about recently.

He doesn't know (or doesn't want to know) that Obama has pulled the economy back from the brink of collapse; that the Benghazi tragedy was politicized by Republicans and has fizzled out to nothing; that NSA domestic spying was begun under Bush and widely supported by conservatives; and so on.

Mr. Chadwick only believes that which affirms his prejudices.

Absolutely right

Mr. Chadwick is right on it! Yet the dimwits that follow the empty suit still think he can walk on water. I feel like this country has been brainwashed, as a whole. How can a man who sat, for twenty years, in a church run by a man who hates America, be elected president of this once great nation?
