DEAR EDITOR:

If the proposed amnesty for illegal immigrants passes Congress, the flow of illegals will continue at 75 percent of current levels.

So says the Congressional Budget Office in their analysis of the Gang of Eight amnesty bill.

Meanwhile, the Obama administration and its allies continue to block both the E-Verify program and real protection of American jobs for citizens and legal immigrants.

If Democrats had any intention of sealing borders and saving jobs they would support E-Verify.

And those bogus “conservative” ads you’re hearing on TV and the radio? I mean the ones begging for yet another amnesty for illegal immigrants? They’re paid for by the dissemblers who fooled us with the last big amnesty in 1986.

That was 11 million illegal immigrants ago.

The Democrats would be unable to accomplish anything nefarious on immigration without the help of so-called Republicans like Chambliss and Isakson. We have re-elected them even though we knew or should have known they were beholden to large corporations, big farm and developers and do not care about citizens and voters.

Why did South Carolina re-elect Graham or Arizona with a great governor and hero re-elect the likes of McCain?

Apathy and voter ignorance has set up the perfect storm but we have to be sure to blame those under the Republican banner even more than Democrats.
