Our country may be lost

DEAR EDITOR:

This president, first lady and administration have accomplished a great many of their objectives. In their anti-American agenda they have successfully undone the progress of decades of hard work of our citizens. They have succeeded in once again dividing us by race, economic standing, social standing, work standing, work ethic and are succeeding in putting us more and more under the control of their national government. They have destroyed our ability to have a rational heart-felt discussion on any of these subjects without quickly descending into vitriolic antagonism.

They have, with the help of their party leaders, all but destroyed this country as the bastion of goodness and hope of the world. Their continued destruction of the Judeo-Christian foundation of our country while supporting a religion that is anathema to all that is good about America is accomplishing its goal.

With the purely self-serving fecklessness of our national parties and the weak-kneed ineptitude of the opposing party, I fear that our country may be lost even as soon as our generation.

No. Our country is not lost (in spite of what the old white right-wing chicken littles say).

If you can excuse Mr.Cheatham somewhat pious political and religious overtones, he is correct we are losing America and have been for quite sometime. To find out who is responsible is as simple as looking in the mirror. We have tolerated politicians as they pandered to their special interests and lined their pockets at our expense. The America that I knew growing up will forever be lost in the next generation. We must all bear the burden of being Americans, however you define that...

And Pres. Bush involving the U.S. in 2 Unneeded wars, Iraq & Afghanistan is NOT taking the U.S. down a lost path?

In these wars which have accomplished nothing LASTING, over 4500 Americans were killed in Iraq and over 2220 killed so far in Afghanistan along with over $800 BILLION spent in Iraq so far and so far over u8 BILLION spent in Afghanistan.

And these wars along with other economic conditions have not pushed us closer to the edge of disaster? Both presidents and the members of Congress are equally guilty.

Obama is certainly not perfect and Pres. Bush was definitely not perfect.

The United States of America was lost on the day when Obama was elected to his first term as president. He was elected with the support of The Council on Foreign Relations to destroy America and I would say he has done his job exceptionally well. I expect The North American Union to rise from the ashes of its defeat in 2010, if it is not already a work in progress

The United States of America was lost on the day that Obama was elected to his first term as president. He was put into place with the backing of the Council on Foreign Relations to destroy America and he is performing the task he was sent to accomplish exceptionally well. I expect The North American Union to arise from the ashes of its failure in 2010 before the end of his second term, if it is not already a work in progress.

Mr. Cheatham once again sounds like Bill O'Reilly prattling on about the "loss of America". Give us a break.

We did almost did lose America...thanks to eight years of Republican mismanagement, corruption and abuses.

In the four and a half years since taking office, Obama has brought the economy roaring back from the brink of collapse, got us out of Iraq, is winding down the Afghanistan misadventure, is focused on domestic nation building, is shrinking the deficit, and all without any help from Republicans.

I'm sick of the whining from conservatives. They had their chance, from 2000-2008, and they blew it.
