An east Cobb man accused of keeping a 13-year-old Covington girl in his home for more than a month was arrested Friday on charges of child molestation, according to the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office.
Joshua Harry Measroch, who lives on Powers Park Way in Marietta located off Johnson Ferry Road, is accused of having an online relationship with the girl for about three months before driving to her Covington home to meet her for the first time, according to the warrant.
A booking report gives Measroch a 1992 date of birth, but does not list the month or day he was born.
A Walton High School year book lists him as being a member of the Class of 2011.
Measroch, who remains in the Cobb County jail without bond, is accused of meeting the girl at her house on May 2 and driving her back to his Marietta house, where she remained for more than 30 days.
According to the warrant, he “allowed the child to remain hidden in his bedroom” from May 2 to June 5 while allegedly engaging in various sex acts with her.
Measroch is charged with child molestation, aggravated child molestation, enticing a child for indecent purposes, statutory rape and interference with custody, according to the booking report.
