Evelyn Scott Wardlaw, 100, of Marietta, died Friday, June 7, 2013. Service will be held 11:00 a.m., (Lie-in-state 10:00 to 11:00), Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at Midway Presbyterian Church in Powder Springs with Rev. Dr. David Hall, Rev. Todd Allen, and Rev. Wilson Smith officiating. Interment will be at Midway Cemetery in Powder Springs. She was a lifelong resident of Lost Mountain Community. Graduated from the Seventh District A&M School of Powder Springs. She was a homemaker & seamstress. An active member of Midway Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School, Bible School, and President of Women of Church. She worked for Singer Sewing Machine Company in Atlanta as an instructor, and 14 years as a bailiff in Cobb County Superior Court. She worked with the Election Board in the Lost Mountain District serving as Assistant Manager and Manager. She loved growing her flowers which she donated for Church and Sunday school. Mrs. Wardlaw was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Wardlaw. She is survived by her nieces and nephews. Contributions may be made In Honor of Evelyn Scott Wardlaw to Midway Presbyterian Church Building Fund, Midway Cemetery Fund, or the Todd Allen Scholarship Fund, 4635 Dallas Hwy., Powder Springs, GA 30127. The family will receive friends, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home & Crematory, Macland Chapel, in Powder Springs
