ATLANTA — Two Cobb County entities, Kennesaw State University and Parkmobile Inc., won awards for software innovation at the annual Impact Awards put on by the Technology Association of Georgia.
Southeastern Software Association, one of the founding members of the Technology Association of Georgia, announced Tuesday that two local entities were among its winners of the 2013 TAG SSA Impact Awards.
TAG SSA Impact Award winners have developed exciting software solutions with a meaningful impact on their business, their customers or their community.
This year’s winners were selected in five categories and from among 32 finalists. KSU won the award for its Corporate Internal Software Development program. Parkmobile is a technology solutions provider. The TAG SSA Impact Awards were May 30 in Buckhead.
“Georgia’s software industry is made up of true innovators and problem solvers and I am delighted to see record participation and attendance for this year’s awards ceremony,” said Tino Mantella, TAG president. “The future of the software industry in the Southeast has momentum, and Georgia‘s innovators are leading the way in the region.”

The Technology Association of Georgia is the leading technology industry association in the state, serving more than 18,500 members and has more than 200 events each year. TAG serves as an umbrella organization for 32 industry societies, each of which provides rich content for TAG constituents.
