The victory secured the Region 4AAAAAA championship for McEachern (21-4, 13-2) and the No. 1 seed out of the region for the Class AAAAAA state playoffs, which begin next week.
Sam Stevens brought Trey Harris and Dalton Geekie home with a hit later in the inning.
Geekie entered in the final three innings and struck out seven of the last nine batters to hold off the Mustangs.
McEachern will host Kennesaw Mountain on Friday in the regular season finale.
Marietta 12, Campbell 0: Trent Wildermuth went 2-for-2 from the plate, including two runs, two RBIs and a double, while his brother, Travis, went
2-for-3 with a double. Jordan Mathis scored two runs and had two RBIs on a base hit. Eric Henderson went 2-for-4 with two singles and an RBI.
Henderson also pitched three innings with five strikeouts. Trent Wildermuth and Alex Guon each pitched an inning to finish the game.
The Blue Devils (18-7, 11-4 in Region 4AAAAAA) will host Campbell on Friday.
Harrison 9, Hillgrove 6: The Hoyas clinched at least a four seed in the playoffs with the win. Jonathan Fisher, who earned the save, entered in the sixth inning and struck out two to end the frame. Nick Sexton started on the mound and went five and one-third innings. Cole Austin led the Hoyas at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two singles, a double, an RBI and two runs scored. Austin Kuchinksi and Hunter Fortner both went 2-for-4.
Harrison (13-12, 10-5 in Region 4AAAAAA) travels to Hillgrove on Friday.
Walton 8, Lassiter 0: Avery Roberts was 3-for-4 with an RBI. Henry Rowling and Bradley Schwartz both went 2-for-4, with Rowling recording an RBI. Tyler Heinrichs went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Logan Barnette added an RBI as well.
Schwartz pitched a complete game with five strikeouts.
Walton is 18-7 (9-4 in Region 5AAAAAA) and will play at Roswell tomorrow.
n North Cobb 9, Pebblebrook 1: North Cobb scored five runs in the second and four in the sixth in taking the Region 4AAAAAA home win on senior night.
Joe Braun (3-2) didn’t give up a run on three hits. He struck out five and walked two in five innings pitched. Daulton Hill threw the final two innings.
The Warriors (14-10, 9-6) scored their five second inning runs off a double, five walks and an error. Patrick Smith hit his sixth home run of the season — a 3-run dinger in the sixth.
Smith was 1-for-3 with three RBIs, while Billy Rose also had a RBI. Brett Whitfield was 1-for-2 with three RBIs. Luis Varros and Bryan Wiltsey each had a hit.
Dezmon Huntley was 2-for-3 with a double and drove in the Falcons lone run in the sixth. Bryan Quillens batted 2-for-3.
North Cobb is at Pebblebrook Friday in the final regular season game for both teams.
Lassiter 7, Norcross 0: Robby Cutchin led the Trojans with three goals. Munear Abousaud, Trey Luscre, David Cho and Josh Stoll each scored as well. Justin Shaw recorded his sixth straight shutout in the net.
Lassiter is now 16-0 and will host South Gwinnett for the first round of the state playoffs May 1.
Lassiter 3, Norcross 1: Breeann Thompson, Kaitlyn Sterling and Margo Richardson scored first-half goals for the Trojans, and the Blue Devils were only able to make an answer in the second. Abby Hobby assisted Richardson’s goal.
Shannon DeSantis recorded four saves under the net for the Trojans. Lassiter is now 13-3-1 and will face Grayson on Tuesday in the first round of the playoffs.
n Harrison 14, Newnan 0: Alex Mowry led the Hoyas with four goals and an assist, followed by a hat trick by Artie Lewis. Brandon Galgon was 8-0 on faceoffs and had five groundballs, while Tyler Brehler had four groundballs and a takeaway.
The Hoyas finished the area schedule undefeated and will play at McIntosh on Friday.
Hillgrove 10, Decatur 6: The Hawks led 6-4 at the half and pulled away in the second. Tiana Clark led the team with a hat trick, followed by two goals and two assists by Katrina Caruso. Marilyn Truitt had two goals and an assist, while Morgan Perone scored two goals. Oliva Ellis also scored for Hillgrove.
North Cobb 9, Allatoona 7: Taylor Johnson scored five goals to lead the Warriors, followed by goals from Taylor Purks, Madison Carlberg and Hannah Ludy. Jenna Silhavy had four ground balls and Natalie Miller recorded three.
n Kennesaw Mountain 19, Collins Hill 7: Megan Dreyer scored seven goals and added three assists as the Lady Mustangs won the non-area home game.
Abbi Barnett had four goals, while Caitlin Farmer chipped in three goals and three assists. Lily Morin tallied two goals and one assist, Haley Powell scored twice and Amanda Griffin posted one goal and one assist.
Monica Hicks had three saves for Kennesaw Mountain which hosts North Cobb Friday.
Kennesaw Mountain 4, Lowndes 1: The Mustangs easily handled the Vikings to advance to the second round of the state playoffs.
Aaron Barris led in the singles with a (6-3, 7-6) win, followed by wins from Joe Klokow (6-0, 6-1) and Matthew Osajima (6-2, 6-1). Hunter Croxton and Michael Diatrick won in the doubles (6-1, 6-7, 6-2).
Kennesaw Mountain will play the winner of the Alcovy and East Coweta on Tuesday.
