Lawrence (Larry) Edward Brown, Age 66, went to be with Jesus Sunday, April 21st after an extended illness. Larry was born in Atlanta, GA. January 21, 1947, to Lillian Warner Brown and the late Emory Thomas Brown, Sr. He graduated from Campbell High School in Smyrna in 1965 and attended North Georgia Technical School in Clarksville, GA. He married his high school sweetheart, Teresa Aiola, and they lived together in the Marietta area for the past 47 years. Larry served in the military and was part of the 1st infantry “Bloody Red One” during the Vietnam War. After returning from the service, he eventually started his own HVAC Company. He was active in his church, Mount Paran North, serving as an elder, and handing out candy to anyone who was within his reach. Larry loved playing basketball, and spent his adult years coaching and refereeing. Mr. Brown is survived by three children, daughter Ansley, and son-in-law-Jamie Koza; Holly and son-in-law Paul Poteete; son Jeremy and daughter-in-law Jennifer Diemer Brown, and foster daughter Kathy Sale. He has six grandchildren: Lee Rose and Carter Koza; Luke and Lisa Poteete; Ella and Levi Brown. He is also survived by four siblings; sister Dianne Faulkner and brother in law Don Faulkner; Twin brother, Emory Brown Jr., and sister-in-law; Genie Brown; sister Teresa Dean and brother Warner Brown, several cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Sojouner’s Missionary Fund, care of Jim Lee CPA, P.O. Box 2158, Lakeland, Florida 33806-2158. A memorial service is planned at Mount Paran North, 1700 Allgood Rd., Marietta, GA 30062, Wednesday, April 24th at 10:00 am. Visitation following the service.
