ACWORTH — City council decided Thursday to split the cost with the Special Events Network to provide an outdoor movie on Aug. 2.

The cost is estimated at $2,650.

Council members also granted approval for the Atlanta Ski Club to use Lake Acworth to conduct a slalom league every Wednesday from April 10 through Sept. 4. Approval requires a Marine Event Permit from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

In other business, the council voted to allow Dixie Avenue, Academy Street and Carnes Street to be used for the McCall Primary Relay for Life parade on April 26.
