Foley’s critique of Carson hypocritical

DEAR EDITOR:

Re: Kevin Foley column (“Advice for Dr. Carson: Physician, heal thyself”), Friday’s MDJ

First, Foley pretends to know what Republicans think about Obama. I am a staunch Republican and race has nothing to do with our selection of candidates. Obama was inexperienced, had never run a business, let alone a country, and had a very troubling background. Mr. Foley, did you notice that his mother was Caucasian but had very leftist political views? And why is it all right for you to home in on race but criticize for the imagined reason Republicans do not like Obama?

Obama is clearly a politician and not a statesman. Now that it suits, he has opposite views of things from the deficit and debt to presidential vacations from those he had as a candidate or a senator. I smell a rat here! And it is plain that the sequester actions are blatantly biased to cause the most pain. Shame on Obama.

Now that an accomplished person comes along and simply states the truth, we see the Democrats scream, “Racism!” and the cowardly press ignores it all. Until you have recognized the dangerous policies of this administration and the reasons for Republican objections to them, I hope Mr. Foley will retire from writing about us and concentrate on his public relations business.

With his inability to have an open mind and debate the real problems, I would think he really could use the time on improving his public relations skills. And hopefully the editors will recognize this, too.

@ Mr. Huggins - That was exactly the point of the column. Carson expressed nothing truthful, dynamic, exciting or original. Like you do here, he just ticked off a series of threadbare far right gripes and half-truths.

Anyway, the doc shot himself in the foot on Hannity when he bashed the LGBT community so his 15 minutes of fame are over.
