The Acworth Board of Alderman will discuss Monday splitting the cost with the Special Events Network to provide an outdoor movie Aug. 2. The cost is estimated at $2,650, according to a council work session agenda.

Members also will discuss granting approval for the Atlanta Ski Club to use Lake Acworth to conduct a slalom league every Wednesday from April 10 through Sept. 4. Approval requires a Marine Event Permit from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Also up for consideration is the use of Dixie Avenue, Academy Street and Carnes Street for the McCall Primary Relay for Life parade April 26.

The board’s work session is Monday at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
