Beginning in April, there will be trucks out every Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m., according to Bettie Cagle, project director.
Each year, 10 percent of the proceeds go to a nonprofit charity, Cagle said. Last year, the nonprofit of choice was the Smyrna Education Foundation.
There are nine trucks with dinner options and three with desserts, Cagle said, but the specifics about what kinds of foods are pending.
“It’s a new way to picnic,” Cagle said. “People come out to the front lawn in the built-in amphitheater and bring their families.” She said the project is seasonal from April to October.
