Donald Lee Carroll of Dallas, Georgia passed away on Friday, 3/15/13. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, March 19 at Medford-Peden Funeral Home, 1408 Canton Road, Marietta, GA. The family will welcome visitors in the parlor at 11am and the service will begin at 12:00. Don was born in Atlanta on June 9, 1937 and was a lifelong Georgia resident. Known for his great songwriting and music production skills, Don was given the coveted Gold Record for the production of the Grammy award-winning song “Color Him Father” in 1970. Don is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Ann, his daughter, Lee Ann Carroll Cornelison two sons, Steven Donald Carroll and John Matthew Carroll, his sister, Janice Elmore and his brother, Jim Carroll. Also surviving are grandchildren, Lauren, Brad, Morgan, Maddie and Elizabeth, several nieces and nephews and 3 great grandchildren. Don will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He leaves us with great memories and wonderful times!
