Gene A. Henderson Sr., age 80, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on March 14, 2013. After receiving his BA from Clemson University, he served as a Lieutenant in the Army. He retired from Lockheed in 1998 after 43 years of service, a Charter Member and Deacon of Westside Baptist Church in Mableton. He was preceded in death by son, Mark Fuller Henderson. Survivors include wife of 53 years, Jean Fuller Henderson; children, Amanda (David) Walker of Knoxville, TN, Amy Henderson of Mableton, Art (Vicki) Henderson of Dallas, Bobbi Charles of Mableton, and Ava (Rick) Parker of Hiram; sister, Rita Cato of Griffin; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Visitation 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm Saturday at White Columns Chapel with Funeral Services 1:30 pm Sunday with Pastor A.T. Stewart officiating.
