Mr. Philip Kirk Brown, age 74, of Powder Springs, GA passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013, A Graveside Service will be held 1pm Tuesday at Powder Springs City Cemetery. A lifelong resident of Powder Springs, Mr. Brown graduated from McEachern High School in 1956. He served in the United States Navy on a submarine for 4 years. Afterwards, he worked for Atlantic Steel for 20 years, then for Seimens for 15 years before retiring. He also worked as a landscaper, and was a Scout Master at Troop #405 for 25 years. Survivors include: Daughter, Kymberly (David) Matthews, Powder Springs, GA; 2 Grandchildren, Zachary Smith and Kylie Taylor;1 Great-Granddaughter, Faith Matthews; 2 Step-Grandchildren, Caleb andAshley Matthews;Nephew and Niece, Kirk and Kay Cook. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Boy Scout Troop. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5pm until 8pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, 2480 Macland Road, Marietta. Online guestbook @
