Mr. Philip Kirk Brown, age 74, of Powder Springs, GA passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013, A Graveside Service will be held 1pm Tuesday at Powder Springs City Cemetery. A lifelong resident of Powder Springs, Mr. Brown graduated from McEachern High School in 1956. He served in the United States Navy on a submarine for 4 years. Afterwards, he worked for Atlantic Steel for 20 years, then for Seimens for 15 years before retiring. He also worked as a landscaper, and was a Scout Master at Troop #405 for 25 years. Survivors include: Daughter, Kymberly (David) Matthews, Powder Springs, GA; 2 Grandchildren, Zachary Smith and Kylie Taylor;1 Great-Granddaughter, Faith Matthews; 2 Step-Grandchildren, Caleb andAshley Matthews;Nephew and Niece, Kirk and Kay Cook. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Boy Scout Troop.
