The Acworth City Council will consider tonight amending the alcohol ordinance to allow the changes citywide for restaurants, the city wine shop and package stores that don’t sell distilled products.
Council members also will consider an agreement with TK Consulting Engineering LLC, for design work and construction of a parking lot for the Acworth Sports Complex. The SPLOST-funded redesign will cost $1,500 of pre-collected funds, according to City Clerk Regina Russell.
The council will also consider an agreement with Georgia Multi Sports to hold a women’s triathlon in August at Dallas Landing Park — an event that happens annually. Other annual events for the council to consider tonight include the Acworth Art Fest, Smoke on the Lake BBQ, the Professional Wakeboard event and Wakeboard Block Party.
The meeting is at 7 p.m. in the council chambers.
