The alcohol compliance check on Thursday resulted in charges of underage sales and a permit violation, Cobb Police spokesman Officer Mike Bowman said. The permit violation came when a manager was unable to provide the permit when asked.
The compliance check involved an underage volunteer who attempted to buy alcohol at 10 east Cobb stores and bars.
While none of the others sold to the volunteer, Abbey Road Bar & Grill, 2940 Johnson Ferry Road; Publix, 1100 Johnson Ferry; Trader Joe’s, 4250 Roswell Road and Paper Mill Grill, 305 Village Parkway, were cited for permit violations.
They did not sell to minors, Bowman said.
Five other businesses passed the compliance check: Kroger, 2100 Roswell Road; QuikTrip, 3110 Roswell Road; BP, 2200 Roswell Road; BGs Grindhouse, 2100 Roswell Road; and Citgo Food Mart, 4360 Roswell Road.
