Charles Ford Berry, age 80 of Austell, passed away February 27, 2013. Ford was born and raised in Marietta and served in the United States Navy. He retired from Sears after 25 years, and then retired from WDCY where he was a DJ for 18 years. Ford loved Southern gospel and was loved by the many groups he represented. He also enjoyed tennis. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty Ledford Berry; daughters & sons-in-law, Sherry & Steve Rush of Powder Springs and Terri & Alan Clayton of Douglasville; grandchildren, Jamie Cantrell, Chris Cantrell, Jessica Maddox, Charles “Robbie” Pressley, Amanda Martin, Jordan Clayton; great-grandchildren, Tanner, Jensen, Corbin, Madison, Jaxon, Carter, and Baileigh; and sister, Faye Stamey of Marietta. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday; 4-8pm. Funeral service will be held at Davis-Struempf Chapel on Friday at 2:00PM with Rev. Ken Johns officiating.
