Martin finished with two hits and also pitched the first six innings, striking out six but came away with a no decision.
Rabon Martin pitched a scoreless seventh inning to earn the victory. Cornell had two hits including a double.
Josh Schibi and Robert Gnann added RBI singles, and Ryan Martin had an RBI sacrifice on a suicide squeeze play.
The Eagles (3-0) will travel to Walker today.
McEachern 6, Mill Creek 2: Trey Harris went 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI to help lead the Indians to a non-region victory.
T.J. Clark pitched 4 2/3 innings, allowing three hits, one earned run and striking out three to earn the victory.
Jonathan Wells went 2-for-3 with an RBI and Max Watkins was 2-for-2 with two RBIs in the win.
McEachern (2-0) will travel to Heritage, Catoosa today.
BOYS GOLF
Kell 171, Sprayberry 188: Matthew Hines shot 37 at City Club of Marietta to lead the Longhorns past the Yellow Jackets.
Mark DeCoster shot 42, T.J. Varner 44 and Austin Morris finished with 48.
John Sterrett led Sprayberry by shooting 40.
Kell (1-0) will host Lassiter on Wednesday at Eagle Watch.
BOYS TENNIS
Harrison 4, Mount Paran Christian 1: Whit Barfield won a three-set match at No. 1 singles to help the Hoyas down the Eagles in a non-region contest.
Barfield won 2-6, 7-5, 10-4 and Bradley Singh downed Bradley Singh at No. 2 singles 6-1, 6-3.
Austin Sosebee and Matthew Griffin teamed to win at No. 1 doubles 7-5, 6-4 and the team of Daniel Snyder and Blake Hawks won 6-3, 6-4 at No. 2.
Harrison will travel to Westminster on Wednesday.
GIRLS TENNIS
Harrison 5, Mount Paran Christian 0: Liz Powers and Autumn Weakley rallied from a set down at No. 2 doubles to win 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 and help the Lady Hoyas complete the sweep.
Alexis Morris, Wendy Jhang and Meredith Frost had an easier time at singles, each winning in straight sets and losing no more than four games. Taylor Lambertson and Jaclyn Black won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles.
Harrison (2-2-1) will play at Westminster on Wednesday.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Hillgrove 7, North Cobb 2: Olivia Ellis and Andrea Struberg each had two goals and an assist as the Lady Hawks downed the Lady Warriors.
Katrina Caruso, Sarah Castleberry, Kianna Clark each added one goal.
Maci Murdock recorded 11 saves.
Hillgrove (2-0) will host Starr’s Mill on Friday.
Walton 11, Mill Creek 10: The Lady Raiders trailed 10-7 with 6 minutes left before scoring four goals in a 3-minute span to take the lead and made it hold for the last 3 minutes.
Hannah Ashmore, Erin McBride and Carly White each scored three goals in the Walton win. Annie Poling and Meaghan Butler each had one.
Emily James had 10 saves for Walton (2-0).
The Lady Raiders will play defending state champion Milton on the road Thursday.
