Cobb Police are investigating two new armed robberies. Authorities also say two Waffle House restaurants in Austell have been hit in less than a week.

No injuries were reported in either incident.

The first robbery Wednesday was at 7:02 p.m. at the Metro PCS cellular store at 5345 Floyd Road in Mableton, Officer Mike Bowman said in a news release.

A black man, around 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds and armed with a revolver, walked into the store and demanded money. After he was given an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled toward Fontaine Road. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans with his face covered with a knitted cap with eyeholes cut out.

The second robbery was reported at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Waffle House at 7350 Six Flags Drive in Austell. Police said two black men, one carrying a rifle, came in through a back door.

They received an undisclosed amount of money and left in an unknown direction.

The first suspect is described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall, thin with light skin. He was last seen wearing black pants and a black hooded sweatshirt.

The other suspect is also listed at 5 feet, 11 inches tall and thin, and police said he was between 20 and 25 years old with dark skin. He was last seen clean shaven, wearing black pants and a black hoodie.

Bowman said there was no indication that the incident is related to a robbery reported the afternoon of Feb. 8, in which two suspects, one armed with a black semiautomatic handgun, robbed the Waffle House at 3635 Austell Road south of Marietta.
