DEAR EDITOR:

Usually when I read columns by Bill Press in the MDJ I want to throw up. But the one in the MDJ Monday about Obama’s drone policy was different. My response was “Thank You, Lord!” I read the article “A license to kill Americans: No judge, no jury”, and I said “Wow!” Is this the same Bill Press who hosts a nationally syndicated radio show and who is a regular liberal contributor to the MDJ? I went back and re-read the article.

He is actually looking at this situation objectively (has he stopped drinking the Kool Aid). He is saying there is a matter in which he does not agree with Obama. He disagrees with Obama’s position of using drones to target and kill Americans he believes to belong to terrorist organizations and who may pose an “imminent” threat of violence against the United States. No judge, no jury! Press says “No!” to such an idea.

He says, “Imagine if George Bush, not Barack Obama, was vastly expanding the use of drones. Liberals would be raising hell. They wouldn’t let Bush get away with it. As Americans, we must demand the same answers from President Obama about drones that we demanded from President Bush about torture.”

The liberal media is actually questioning Obama. It is hard to believe — but there it is in black and white! Wonders will never cease!
