Mr. John M. Gallia age 75 of Acworth, passed away Saturday, February 9th. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Thursday, February 14th at Carmichael Funeral Home Chapel in Smyrna with Rev. Glenn Chapplear officiating. Interment will be in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. Mr. Gallia was a Cobb County Police Officer for over 27 years before retiring. He served in the U.S.A.F. He was an avid collector of WWII memorabilia and was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Surviving are his loving wife of 43 years Sharon Gallia of Acworth, Son’ John Gallia of Texas, 3 Daughters, Christine Kara and Doreen Schiffelbian both of Long Island, NY, Rhonda Harley of Virginia Beach, VA, Sister, JoAnne Occhiuzzo of MA, 9 Grandchildren, Sharon, Kathryn, Madison, Johnathan, Anthony, Monica, Karamia, Tyler, Jesse, 3 Great Grandchildren, Jason, Keegan and Troy.
